Name: Cam
Gender: Male

Interests: I LOVE computer and video games. I also like to use building toys such as Legos and K'nex. My other main hobby is collecting weaponry, with an emphasis on hand-to-hand weapons. The only sport I really enjoy is getting together with some of my buddys from church and tossing the ol' pigskin around (that means football if anybody doesn't know). Edit: After visiting Fcv's weblog, I realized that I forgot to mention one thing: I LOVE STAR WARS!!!
Expertise: Probably video and computer games. Yeah, yeah, I know, that doesn't really count, but oh well. I'm pretty good at Perfect Dark, Super Smash Brothers, and Jet Force Jemini on the N64. As for the PC, right now I'm working on getting better at online Halo multiplayer.

Hmmmm, got a bit of a ying/yang thing going on here. Got back from ALERT to find that there had been some changes in the household that I haven't adjusted to yet, and that has me sorta bummed. On the other hand, Check out what my sister gave me for my birthday.

Yup, that's metal, not some cheap plastic. And it's SHARP! Heh heh, bet I could do a lot of damage with this...

Currently Listening
Kameo: Elements of Power
see related
MWA-HAHAHHHHAHAHHAAAHA!!! My Kameo soundtrack finally arrived. Very cool, with 27 tracks. HERO'S__THEME__ROX! (That's a clip from it playing in the background.) Anyway, we're packing tomorrow, so I'm gonna get this post in since it's likely I won't have time for another. I'm heading down to Texas on Saturday with my family so I can start M-Team, the 4 week preparatory course to ALERT. At the end of those 4 weeks I'll start ALERT immediately, which lasts for another 9 weeks. All in all, I'll be down there for 13 weeks. I expect it to tough, very tough. I know I will be stretched physically, spiritually, and emotionally. I also expect to have a blast. As a side note, we're heading down a little early so we can visit for a short time with some friends who moved down south (the J's, ummmm, you know, the family with Max and Janette (sp?), I can never remember how to spell their last name.) Anyhow, "Fare thee well, all ye of the Xanga's".

Sup people, just posting to assure my avid readers that I will try hard to get a farewell post in before Saturday. Otherwise, see ya in 13 weeks!

TURN YOUR SPEAKERS OFF! NOW! Before proceeding to read, please turn down your audio device.

Yay! The posting window works again! w00t w00t!

You're probably wondering why I asked you to turn your speakers down, and in a moment I'll tell you. I'll probably take some chaff for this post, but hey. I still enjoy browsing the Lego website. Hey, it's a fun, secure website and I still REALLY enjoy building stuff with my Legos. Anyway, Bionicle has been one of my fav product lines since it came out, so I visited that section of the site. I found something called The Bionicle Music Video. It's an awesome conglomeration (sp?) of clips from various promos, animations, and Borahk Kal mini-cd's set to a secular song. VERY COOL (IMHO). Now, about the speakers. For background music, I'm using the tune from this video. There's nothing wrong with the lyrics, in fact, this is about the only song I've ever listened to where I actually like the words. The reason I ask for the speakers to be turned down, is cause I don't know the music standards of all the people who may see this post, and there are electric guitars and drums in this song. Therefore, if electric guitars and drums are a prob for you, simply finish reading and exit before turning your audio device back up. If they aren't, then refresh and crank 'em back up to normal. And if you head over to Lego.com to watch the Bionicle Music Video, use the highband version of Quicktime, not Windows Media Player. It takes a LOT longer to load, but there are no framerate issues. All you Bionicle lovers out there, GET OVER TO THE SITE AND WATCH THE VIDEO IF YOU HAVEN"T ALREADY! Why do I like this song? Mainly cause it presents a message that I've though about long and hard: Being a hero aint no cakewalk. Enough of those Saturday morning shows that make it seem like a sinch, my idea of a hero is more The Hero of Time (Link, for all you uneducated people out there)versus some punk with a fancy gizmo attached to his arm. The calling of "hero" is a high and lofty - and (almost always) sorrowful one. Ah well, I'de like to get much more in depth on this subject, but it would bore most of you since I could go on for miles of scrolling space about this. Maybe I'll touch on it again sometime later.

It just occured to me that I never posted to let my thousands of raving fans know what I got for Christmas! Well, I think I'm pretty safe in saying that I might actually be ready for a few small skirmishes! What do you think?

LOL!

I also got a couple of Lego sets to add to my collection. You can see one of them on the table next to the CD player. Finally, I got some GREAT and VERY much appreciated soundtracks from ol' Samo (Gladiator and Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back). Thanks a ton man!
